Cocktail Hour Floral Table Design Guide

Great for event work and table designs this stunning design made using a 30cm OASIS® Ideal Floral Foam Sphere is definitely a crowd pleaser made in dramatic purple, red and lime green colours, and then jazzed up with a slash of silver.

A perfect addition is the popular Glass Seahorse Test Tubes which are always a firm favourite. To make this exciting, swirling design follow the steps below.

STEP ONE

Soak the jumbo sphere in a water solution with Floralife® flower food, to aid longevity. Add a small amount of water into the base of the cocktail vase with a few drops of purple water dye to give the rich colouring.  Wedge the soaked sphere firmly into the cocktail vase so that it is completely secure. Pot Tape can be used if necessary for additional security.

STEP TWO

Group the roses around the edge of the foam sphere in a compact circle. Make sure the stems are recut to give a sharp diagonal slant for easy insertion into the foam.  Add in a ring of Eryngium heads in close formation to the Rose circle followed by swirls of Midelino Sticks.

STEP THREE

Fill in the centre of the sphere with circles of Trachelium and Chrysanthemum, and then finish with a single red Rose in the centre. Fill in with Asparagus Meyeri, fastening both ends of the fern into place. Finish the side and top of the design with two stems of Dendrobium Orchids.  Thread the Seahorse Test Tubes onto Bullion Wire garlands, fill with purple coloured water, and then top each test tube with a Dendrobium Orchid head. Secure in place into the foam then add Ceropegia woodii trails to entwine around the Bullion Wire garlands.
