Floral Chair Back/Table Centre.

Add a splash of colour to a dull chair back with this easy to create decoration.

The same decoration can also be used as a table centre or to decorate venues and party rooms.

Step One

Fold one sheet of Green Tissue Paper and three sheets of White Tissue Paper in half and cut along the fold. This should leave you with pieces measuring approximately 37cm x 51cm. Cut one sheet of Buttercup Tissue Paper into two strips measuring 18cm x 51cm, this will become the centre of the flower. On the sides measuring 51cm make cuts (approximately 5 cm long) all the way along. Don’t cut them too fine as you will find it difficult to pull the tissue to achieve the flower effect later on.

Step Two

Now place the Green Tissue Paper on the bottom, the White Tissue Paper on top of the green and finally the Yellow Tissue Paper with its frayed edges sits in the centre of the white you are now ready to fold! Fold the tissue into an accordion stack making sure you have the shortest width nearest to you as you’ll be folding the tissue up the longest length of the paper with ideal folds of a width 4 – 5cm.

Step Three

Once folded into a neat stack, secure in the centre with the stub wire. You can add extra to create a loop so the flower can be attached to fabric or a chair. Cut the ends of the stack to the required petal shape. Carefully, pull the Yellow Tissue Paper up and away from the centre. Patience is required, this is the centre of the flower. Repeat this process with the White Tissue Paper, then the Green Tissue Paper. Fluff the paper to achieve your desired fullness and required effect.
